ANNOUNCEMENTS & COMING EVENTS

 

PICNIC RESCHEDULED:  Because of the rain, our church picnic is rescheduled for next Sabbath, July 28, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Come to the Kiwanis Youth Conservation (2230 15 Mile Road, Bellevue 49021).  Food Suggestions:  A-G bring Salads – Sandwiches, H-P bring Chips, Entrees, Baked Beans  Q-Z bring Desserts-fruit.  The church will provide plates, utensils.  Paper copy of directions and info are available on the credenza in the foyer.

July 21: Happy Sabbath and Welcome to All Tabernacle Guests and Family! After the church service, please join us for the fellowship dinner in the Fellowship Hall in the annex building.  This week’s dinner is hosted by Deb Bateman’s team.  Next week’s fellowship dinner will be hosted by Esther LaTour and Janis Hidley’s team.

VISITATION MINISTRY will meet this Sabbath at 3:15 pm in the Seminar Room.

SONSETS is tonight, July 21st, beginning with hymn sing at 8:30, followed by vespers program at 8:45. 

MEETINGS JULY 26, THURSDAY:  There will be a Finance Committee meeting at 6:00 pm and a Church Board at 7:00 pm. 

 

JULY 28th:  Pastor Rob Benardo will be our speaker next Sabbath, and several baptisms will take place during the church service. 

 

The SDA Urbandale Church will be holding a Vacation Bible School July 23-27 from 6 – 8 pm.  The theme is, “A Week in the Forest”.  Come learn about forest animals, have an “animal treat” each night and enjoy Bible stories and games. 

 

A well known historian and Tabernacle member, (Lorena) Jean Davis died July 8, 2018.  Please remember her husband Glenn and family you’re your prayers and visits.

 

This summer the Tabernacle will be hosting Mission College of Evangelism taught by world renowned evangelist and author Pastor Louis Torres. Classes will be from August 19- September 29, 2018. If you are interested in getting more training in the area of witnessing, consider this opportunity. Please contact Pastor Bernardo or Pastor Sotomayor for more information.

MONEY MATTERS:  As you plan your tithes and offerings, please remember our church budget. Approximately $26,000 is required monthly to support our various ministries, maintain our church plant and nurture our K-12 school, Battle Creek Academy.  We have received approximately $8,538 thus far for the month of July.
